Barista

Location: Wauwatosa, Wisconsin  ·  Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

About the Role

As the welcoming face of Idyll Coffee Roasters, baristas create a warm, customer-focused environment. You’ll craft exceptional coffee beverages, share our mission and values, and help keep our café clean, organized, and inviting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service with a positive attitude and strong communication.
• Stay informed about menu items, coffee offerings, and promotions.
• Prepare high-quality drip, pourover, and espresso drinks.
• Maintain café cleanliness and follow all health and safety standards.
• Stay composed during busy periods and communicate issues to the manager on duty.
• Follow operating procedures and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Uphold Idyll Coffee Roasters’ mission, values, and positive team culture.

What We’re Looking For

• Passion for coffee and genuine interest in learning more about the craft.
• Friendly, adaptable, and team-oriented.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
• Prior café or customer service experience is a plus, but not required.

Kitchen Staff

Location: Wauwatosa, Wisconsin  ·  Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

About the Role

As part of the kitchen team at Idyll Coffee Roasters, you’ll help prepare and deliver high-quality sandwiches, salads, baked goods, and other menu items. You’ll work closely with the Café Manager or Kitchen Supervisor to ensure food quality, safety, and efficiency while supporting a warm, welcoming café environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prep and slice ingredients, prepare bakery items, and assemble sandwiches to order.
• Provide excellent customer service when working the counter, with strong communication and a positive attitude.
• Prepare quality finished products at multiple stations.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness of back-of-house stations and production equipment.
• Stay calm under pressure and communicate any issues to the manager on duty.
• Support Idyll Coffee Roasters’ mission, values, and positive team culture.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in the coffee or food industry preferred, but not required.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively.
• Flexible to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to maintain positivity in a fast-paced environment.
