El Peñon Caturra The caturra varietal is grown all over Central and South America. It is a hardy coffee tree that can tolerate swings in temperature, rainfall and wind. When grown at high elevations it produces very pleasant and high quality caramel and citrus-forward profiles that are great for all kinds of brewing methods. We added a bit of roast development on this coffee to draw out the sweetness.
